At Kaarme Jewels, we want you to love your pieces. If you are unsatisfied, we may accept the return of an unworn item on a case-by-case basis. Please note our policies below.

If you purchase a handcrafted piece with a ready-to-ship item, they will be dispatched on the handcrafted timeframe

Any items purchased during our EOFY Sale are FINAL SALE and not eligible for exchange or refund.

  • Handcrafted Pieces

    Each piece is crafted with care by our small team of women on the Gold Coast. Your piece may take up to 2-3 weeks to be dispatched unless stated otherwise in the product description.
  • Ready-to-ship Pieces

    Ready-to-ship manufactured pieces will be dispatched within 1 to 3 business days of placing your order. If you have purchased a manufactured piece with a handcrafted item, they will be dispatched on the handcrafted timeframe.
  • PRE-ORDER

    Please refer to the product description or confirmation email for the dispatch timeframe. Your item will have PRE-ORDER listed in the product title if it falls into this category.

International Orders

For customers outside of Australia, please be aware that your order may be subject to import duties, taxes, or customs fees set by your local government. These charges aren’t included in our pricing and are the responsibility of the recipient. As every country is different, we recommend checking with your local customs office if you're unsure - we want to make sure there are no surprises when your parcel arrives.

Returns Policy

We ONLY offer store credits for orders made with a discount code or paid through Afterpay!

  • All refunds and exchanges are assessed on a case by case basis and must be approved via email (hello@kaarmejewels.store) prior to sending the item back to us
  • Full-priced (non-personalised) items can be refunded if returned within 7 days of receiving the item, please contact us within 3 days of delivery
  • If you’d like to exchange your handcrafted piece for a different design, we completely understand. As each necklace is individually made by hand, a $35 labour fee helps cover the time and care required to remake your new piece.
  • Exchanges are subject to stock availability.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. It is the customers responsibility to return using tracked shipping in a padded parcel as Kaarme is not responsible for items lost or damanged in transit.
  • Due to hygiene reasons, all earrings are final sale and cannot be returned.
  • Items purchased during sales are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged
  • It is the customers responsibility to return items in unworn, resaleable condition including tags and packaging. Items arriving with makeup, stains, animal hair, or odours will not be accepted.
  • Your refund will only be processed once the item has been received and assessed to be in a resaleable condition.
  • Tarnishing is not considered a fault, as it occurs when jewellery is exposed to chemicals or prolonged water contact. See our Care Instructions for details.
  • Kaarme is not responsible for damage caused by wear and tear, mishandling, or improper care.
  • Kaarme is not responsible for necklaces ordered in the incorrect size. Please refer to our ‘Necklace Length Guide’ prior to purchase to find your perfect fit. We provide a resizing service for a fee.

We reserve the right to refuse returns, repairs, or exchanges if the item does not meet our policy requirements.

Returns Policy - 1 Initial Handcrafted Pieces

We’ve heard your feedback and understand you would love the option to exchange or refund personalised pieces.

 While we can’t offer this for multiple initials or our less popular lengths, we’re extending our policy to allow returns or exchanges on one initial, 16-inch pieces.

For an exchange, this will incur a $35 labour fee to remake your new necklace, with return postage covered by the customer for both returns and exchanges.

 As a small business, we’re unable to apply this across all personalised designs, but we want to meet you where we can and ensure you truly love your Kaarme piece.

Returns Process

Please allow 2-3 business days for processing once we receive your return.

International returns: Mark packages as RETURN to avoid customs duties and taxes.

    Ensure the item is unworn, in its original packaging, and shipped within 7 days of approval.
  • Package Well

    Use bubble wrap or padding to prevent damage and send your item via tracked shipping. Kaarme is not liable for lost or damaged returns.

Warranty & Repairs

Kaarme Jewels Jewellery comes with a 6-month warranty covering manufacturing defects for both our handcrafted and ready-to-ship pieces. The warranty is void if the item has been misused or altered.

Our Warranty Covers:

Our warranty includes manufacturing faults such as:

- Broken clasps due to a fault in the spring mechanism

- Loose or missing stones (with no signs of impact, bent prongs, or damage to metal)

- A fault caused by human-error during the crafting process

Our Warranty Does Not Cover:

Some types of damage fall outside of our warranty, including:

- Chain breakages or stretched/bent chains

- Bent or broken earring posts or clasps

- Dents, scratches, chipping or peeling

- Tarnishing or discolouration

- Lost items

- Repairs or modifications made by third parties

- Damage caused by misuse, accidents, general wear and tear or improper care and storage of the jewellery

Manufactured chains:
Chain breakages aren’t covered under warranty, as this kind of damage is considered general wear and tear. Our chains are strong, but not unbreakable and can be affected by everyday movement, tension, or accidental snags.

Breaks are rarely spontaneous - there’s usually been some unnoticed strain along the way. What often happens is:

- A small snag or tug weakens a link.

- The chain appears fine, but the stress point remains.

- Later, it gives way during regular wear and the original pull isn’t always remembered.

We always recommend storing and handling your pieces gently to help avoid this kind of stress over time.

For repair inquiries, please email hello@kaarmejewels.store. Any applicable repair costs and shipping fees are the customer’s responsibility.

Caps and Apparel:

If you believe your item is faulty, please contact us within 5 days of receiving your order. Please include your order details and photographs of the issue so we can assess the matter.

Where a product is deemed to have a manufacturing fault, we will offer a replacement or refund.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, improper care, misuse, accidental damage or failure to follow care instructions.

Jewellery Variations

Some Kaarme pieces are handcrafted, so slight variations may occur. Some of our materials are natural resources, which means variations in size, texture, and colour are to be expected as part of their natural beauty. By buying from Kaarme you are accepting the handcrafted nature of our pieces and that there may be slight variations from the original photography.

Our manufactured pieces are thoughtfully crafted by skilled artisans in India and may feature delicate handmade details. Because of this, no two pieces are exactly the same - slight variations in finish, texture, or shape are part of what makes your jewellery uniquely yours.
